The city of Solothurn is situated between Bern and Basel and our hotel Ambassador has an excellent location, just two minutes away from the main train station in Solothurn. The city centre (old town) and the bus stops are just feet’s away from us. Bern can be reached by car in 20 minutes, Basel in 45 minutes and Zurich Airport in 60 minutes to 70 minutes by train.

Despite its central location, the hotel Ambassador is located in a quiet area. The rooms in our individual hotel were renovated in 2016. They are all equipped with shower / toilet, telephone, television, hair dryer, Internet wireless and safe. Every room has a water heater, for a tea or instant coffee. The prices include breakfast buffet, service and VAT. There are a few parking spots in our courtyard; those are free of charge. In addition, there are paying public parking spaces around the hotel.

With a room in our hotel you can have a wonderful stay in Solothurn, the nicest baroque city of Switzerland. The old town was mostly built between the 16th and the 18th centuries. So, you find an exciting mix of different architectural styles.

The history of the town of Solothurn goes back to the Roman times. The high- profiled events taking place in the city complete the enchanting offer for a lovely stay.

Our bar/restaurant awakens you during the day, with delicious coffee offer. In the evening we spoil you in the hotel bar, with a glass of wine or a special malted beer. Our snacks can satisfy the large and the small appetites.
